Introductory tour - Expo Statuettes (De Langste Dag)

Get to know the world of small sculpture during this introductory tour of the Statuettes exhibition. Together we will discover how small statues can tell big stories. We will pause at various sculptures and look at form, material, and meaning. Who or what is depicted here? Why were these statues made? And what can they still tell us today? An ideal first introduction to the exhibition, where you will gain more insight into the artworks and their special role as carriers of memory. PRACTICAL The guide will also visit the focus room to see the artworks by Wim Delvoye. Duration: 90 min Please note: an entrance ticket to Mu.ZEE is not included in this introductory tour! ABOUT THE LONGEST DAY From sunrise to sunset. Artists move in and between Mu.ZEE and KAAP in Ostend. Various performances, some continuous. One visible and loud, the other barely perceptible. The actions follow the rhythm of the sun, the tides, and the clock. It will be a long day, almost the longest. Only when the sun sets does the happening end… and the afterparty begins.
