Romina Remmo "Au seuil de l'Intime"

In the exhibition “The edge of the Intimate", Romina Remmo explores transitional spaces through organic forms. The boundary between the living body and matter prompts the viewer to draw nearer and then to cross a threshold that is as much physical as it is sensory. The artist creates objects, paints, photographs and works with bobbin lace, whose openwork structure becomes a metaphor for the skin. She explores the mechanisms of fascination, but also of rejection. The delicacy of the fabric, combined with the coldness of sharp materials such as hooks, pins and needles, opens up an ambivalent space – a place of opposing forces where attraction and repulsion coexist. This exhibition is an invitation to engage with the deeply unsettling fragility of the human condition.
