Embodied Visions - Guida Inês Mauricio

Central is the body as a unique, versatile entity. Through a creative process that plays with abuse and metamorphosis, new ways of seeing and understanding emerge. By combining the ephemeral nature of the human body with the constant presence of the camera, this project creates a fascinating dialogue. A body that sheds its skin, which we observe closely until only the skin is left to be seen. Like a cleansing ritual. What does this mean for us? Can this experience bring us closer to ourselves and thus also closer to each other? Can a poetic moment evoke a sense of connection in us? Guida creates dialogues between dance, new technologies, and other disciplines.
