How many stars are there in the sky? There are so many that we cannot count them. It's almost Christmas. In a supermarket parking lot, in the middle of the trash cans, two men, the narrator and Pierre, his accordionist sidekick, are preparing a small show. They are waiting for the pilgrim buses that, perhaps, will never come. Around them, the silhouettes of the invisibilized, those whom we no longer look at. In the background, an unexpected ghost: Francis of Assisi. What if he had been born in 1982? Who are the outcasts of the world he would have met on his path? Après Laïka and Pueblo, Rumba is the final installment of Ascanio Celestini's "trilogy of poor devils," where satire, tenderness, and raw poetry mingle. Carried by the live music of Philippe Orivel, David Murgia, co-founder of Raoul Collectif, makes a burning word resonate. Avec Rumba they conclude their exploration of the peripheries with an ode to the memory of the forgotten of our society.
