FERNANDO NERIS BLUES TRIO, The Leie Sessions

Het Fernando Neris Blues Trio is a Belgian formation around the Spanish blues musician Fernando Neris, who has lived in Belgium since 2000. While Waar Neris solo focuses on acoustic pre-war blues and fingerpicking, with this trio he brings back the electric sound of the 60s, as we know it from great examples such as B.B. King, T.-Bone Walker and Muddy Waters. With Met Nicolas Puma on double bass and Éric Mingelbier on drums, no strangers to the Liège jazz and blues scene, Fernando gets a strong, solid rhythm section where funky grooves and improvisation are central.
