Farciennes sports merits

This year, Commune de Farciennes is updating the formula of the sports awards in order to better highlight those who bring sports clubs to life on a daily basis. The evening will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026, starting at 7:30 PM, at the Espace Émile Groux (rue Clément Daix 87 - 6240 Farciennes). A volunteer honored in each club Each sports club will be invited to designate a volunteer whom it wishes to thank for their commitment, availability, loyalty, or investment within the association. In order to present each person in a personalized way during the evening, clubs are invited to send, by Friday, September 25, 2026 at the latest: a short description of the person; an anecdote illustrating their journey or involvement within the club; a few photographs, old or recent. These elements will make it possible to highlight each winner and present them with an award in recognition of their precious contribution to local sports life. The athlete or team of the year To maintain the spirit of previous editions, an athlete or sports team will also be rewarded in the category “Athlete of the Year or Sports Team of the Year”, in order to salute a particularly remarkable performance or sporting journey. Nominations must also be submitted by Friday, September 25, 2026 at the latest. This new formula thus wishes to value both athletic performances and the human commitment of all those who contribute to bringing sports to life in Farciennes.
