Peter Depelchin - La Source

Peter Depelchin (b1985, Ostend) has been passionate about symbolism, mysticism and archetypes for more than half of his life. Over the past two years, he has been developing an exclusive new series of twenty-two drawings in ink, pen and coloured pencil, characteristic of his artistic practice yet slightly atypical within his body of work. Rich in symbolic complexity, this enigmatic project explores the world of tarot through the Major Arcana, approached as tableaux vivants featuring individuals who have played a role in his life. The series also connects to Depelchin’s broader mythological universe, with familiar leitmotifs from his personal cosmogony reappearing throughout the drawings.
