Presentation CD Colori della Primavera

On Sunday, June 21, you can enjoy two special concerts in the Brugse Ryelandtzaal! At 6:00 PM, the presentation of the new CD Colori Della Primavera will take place. This CD contains new compositions for piccolo combined with harp, guitar and electric guitar, alto horn, and piano. All works were written by Flemish composers Maarten De Splenter, Eric Desimpelaere, Robert Groslot, Jan Huylebroeck, Frederik Neyrinck and Rudi Tas, It will be a performance with music, image projection, animations, live performances, and illustrations. Gitte Bongaers (master's student in piccolo at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen) and Laurine Califano (student at the Kunstuniversität Graz) were selected for the semi-finals of the Piccolo Artist Competitionn of the National Flute Association which will take place this year in Portland, USA. At 3:00 PM, they will bring a piccolo recital with pianist Pieter-Jan Verhoyen. This presentation concert was realized partly thanks to the support of the Vlaamse Overheid and Stad Brugge, department of culture. The compositions of Maarten De Splenter and Frederik Neyrinck were realized partly thanks to the support of ‘Sabam for Culture’.
