HET ZESDE METAAL at the Huysmanhoeve

Music club N9 is heading back to the medieval Huysmanhoeve in June for a weekend full of exclusive concerts in an incomparably beautiful setting. Het Zesde Metaal will close on Sunday, and will play one of the last shows there before a long break. With classics like ‘Ploegsteert’ , ‘Naar De Wuppe’ , and ‘Tid Van Ton’ , and acclaimed and award-winning albums like ‘Nie Voe Kinders’ , ‘Calais’ , and ‘Skepsels’ , Het Zesde Metaal, the band around Wannes Cappelle, has become an integral part of the Belgian music landscape. Sixth album 'Het langste jaar' (Unday, 2024) was a musical reflection of the most intense period in the history of Het Zesde Metaal. It is the last album on which guitarist, keyboardist, and producer Tom Pintens can be heard. A month after the recordings, he died. In October 2025, the EP ‘Randgevallen’ was released. The five tracks listen like a sampler of the musical and textual versatility of Het Zesde Metaal, and once again emphasize the timeless class of the band. Most recent single ‘Service’ made it to second place on the Vox chart of Radio 1. In February 2024, just after the release of ‘Het Langste Jaar’, Het Zesde Metaal played a try-out at music club N9. The tickets for that concert were sold out in 24 hours. Now the band is returning to Eeklo. Het Zesde Metaal is playing only a select number of shows this festival summer, and will not be seen on a stage for a long time afterwards. Not to be missed!
