Inspired by greats like Daniel Lanois, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen, Yasmine brought a new sound with Portfolio . This album and the successful singles Ik Was Zo Graag Bij Jou Gebleven , Ik Tover Jou , Diep In Mij , and Nooit Nog een Andere earned her her first gold record. The subsequent album also went gold. Toen Yasmine left us in 2009, the music world lost an icon.
