NATURE WALK

04-06-2026 Kasteelwandeling Westmalle +- 5.0 km Departure at 1:45 PM from the heemhuisjes, Kerkstraat 41-45 in 's-Gravenwezel. Starting point of the walk: parking lot behind the St-Jozeflei church. We turn right into Kasteellei with a view of the beautiful castle of Westmalle. Its origin dates back to a large fortified farm, founded around 1100, and is currently owned by the Kempens Landschap foundation. The castle and adjacent lands, valuable forests, and old lanes form, together with the St-Martinus church, a rural and historical landscape.
