Amor fati - Jan Jaap van der Wal

Whether we go under due to a possible war or a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette during a weekend at the seaside; we are going under anyway. Let’s do it with a big smile then. Or with the new theater show by Jan Jaap van der Wal: Amor fati! Amor fati? That means “love for fate” in Latin. “Then we know for sure that Prime Minister Bart De Wever approves,” according to van der Wal. For ten years, he has been a Fleming in training and is indispensable in Flemish theaters and on television. That love is mutual, and to celebrate that, Jan Jaap is bringing his biggest show to date to Flanders! For almost thirty years, van der Wal has been giving his best on the comedy stage. Since 2015, he has made four full-length shows in Flanders, including the acclaimed election conference GEEN STEM (CCHA, 2024).
