Hungary, 132 minutes Andor lives with his mother Klára in Budapest among the ruins of the violently suppressed Revolution of 1956. Andor finds support in the memory of his missing father, whom he idolizes as a war hero. However, Andor's life is rudely disrupted when a brutal man claims to be his real father. This does not match the ideal image that his mother has held up to him all this time. A poignant and tragic, but at the same time beautiful portrait of Budapest at the end of the 50s. This modern costume drama was also filmed on film stock, causing sepia tones to predominate.
