Cycling to house martin colonies in Kluisbergen

Bike ride along the house martin colonies in Kluisbergen, with a word of explanation about the house martin and other types of swallows. In Kluisbergen there are still a few very active house martin colonies, which means we have the largest house martin population in the region. We visit a number of these colonies and show how we count the occupied nests so that we can compare the numbers annually. We also try to spot other species and with a bit of luck, we will see the antics of the swifts high in the sky. This activity is suitable for families with children. No prior knowledge required. The bike ride is mainly along car-free cycle paths and is about 15km. Don't forget binoculars and a fluorescent cycling vest! The bike ride will not take place in bad weather.
