COLLECTIEVITIJD Shared rhythms from Brussels diasporas
BECOME PART OF THE PROJECT
Which moments are important to you and your community?
Which days are celebrated, remembered or experienced together? And which moments connect us to one another and to Brussels?
CollectieviTijd explores how different communities in Brussels experience time, memory and meaningful moments.
The project brings together celebrations, commemorations, moments of mourning, solidarity and other meaningful dates from different Brussels communities. By sharing stories, memories and experiences, we are creating a more diverse calendar of Brussels together.
The project will result in a Brussels calendar for 2027, making important dates from different diaspora and minority communities, as well as Brussels solidarity movements, more visible.
YOUR VOICE SHAPES THE CALENDAR
We are looking for people who want to share their experiences, stories and meaningful moments, and help shape the calendar.
As a participant, we ask you to take part in at least 1 collective moment:
5/10 - 21/10 & 21/10 - House of Growfunding / Anspachslaan 178 1000 BXL
9/10 & 29/10 - Kuumba vzw / Passerstraat n5 1070 Anderlecht
Every time from 18:30 to 20:00
During these gatherings, we will exchange important dates and stories and think together about what should become visible in the calendar.
You therefore become a co-creator of the project and the calendar. As a thank-you for your commitment, you will receive a CollectieviTijd calendar.
YOU ARE ALSO WELCOME AT THE CLOSING MOMENT
On 10 December 2026, International Human Rights Day, CollectieviTijd will be publicly launched.
You are very welcome to join us for this closing moment.
