Because behind the ancient stories, divine metamorphoses, and the supposed great loves of Zeus hide mechanisms that our era still knows all too well: abuse of power, domination, coercion, imposed silence, victim-blaming. King of the gods, all-powerful seducer, and essential figure of Olympus, Zeus appears here as an ancient version of sadly well-known figures: the first DSK of humanity, the Weinstein of Antiquity. Between historical rigor, scientific perspective, and salutary humor, #Balance ton Olympe dives into the daily lives of women in Ancient Greece to make it dialogue with that of today. Mythological legends then become a funny and punchy field of investigation: what do they really say? Who speaks? Who suffers? Who decides?
