Vondels Angels, Sarah Moeremans & Het Zuidelijk Toneel

In Vondel’s Angels, Sarah Moeremans and Joachim Robbrecht, together with the entire ensemble, descend into the deepest depths of hell. Armed with helmets and headlamps, they take the audience on a descent filled with fire, questions and defiance. From the flames, they rescue the fallen angels from Vondel’s famous Lucifer, banished for resisting God’s decision to place man above them. Four centuries later, that same man seems to have failed in his responsibility once again.
