During this workshop, you will be introduced to 2D needle felting, starting from a personal portrait.
Beforehand, you will provide me with a photo, which I will convert into a simple line drawing. That drawing will later form the basis of your own work.
We start the workshop consciously on an empty canvas in an embroidery hoop. This way, you first learn the standard techniques: how wool behaves, how to build up layers, define shapes, and gain control over the needle and material.
Only then will you get started with your own portrait. You work at your own pace and with a lot of attention to the process. The work starts during the studio session but is usually not completely finished; felting takes time, and you are welcome to continue at home.
