Concert Ilse Vromans and Jan Vermeire

The opening concert of the Internationaal Orgelfestival Veurne-Nieuwpoort-De Panne takes place in the Sint-Niklaaskerk van Veurne, on the romantic Frederik Lonckeorgel restored in 2024. The concert is part of the Open Kerkendagen and is offered for free by the church council of the Sint-Niklaaskerk. The theme of the Open Kerkendagen is “Heavenly humor: hidden humor in heritage”. Organist Jan Vermeire and flutist Ilse Vromans let themselves be inspired by this theme for a program full of humor and cheerfulness, with works by Giovanni Morandi, Jacques Nicolas Lemmens, Pietro Yon and Hans-André Stamm.
