It is the summer of 1984 - Margaret Thatcher is in power and the British miners' union is on strike. Tijdens de Gay Pride in London, a group of gay activists decides to raise money to support the families of the striking miners. But they run into a problem: the union seems embarrassed to receive their support. The activists, however, are not deterred. They decide to ignore the union and approach the miners directly. They travel in a small van to a mining village in the Welsh countryside to hand over their donation in person. An extraordinary story about two totally different communities that, despite all prejudices, unite for a common goal.
