EPN Conference at the Library // Thwarting online scams

This training will help you recognize the main scams on the Internet and adopt the right reflexes to protect yourself. You will discover the techniques used by scammers through concrete examples: fake emails, fraudulent SMS, fake websites, fake listings, phone calls, or even attempts to steal personal data. You will learn to spot warning signs, verify information or a site before trusting it, and protect your passwords, accounts, and personal information. The training will also give you the right reflexes to adopt in the event of a scam or attempted fraud, so you know how to react quickly and who to turn to. Mandatory registration by phone or email.
