Roxane Métayer and Katya Shirshkova present 'De Doode Bemde, a whispering landscape'

Project presentation 'De Doode Bemde, a whispering landscape' Kunstenaars Roxane Métayer and Katya Shirshkova take you on an auditory journey through the Doode Bemde, a place that unfolds a different soundscape with every season. During her trajectory, Roxane recorded birdsong, flowing water, and insect buzzing during the 4 seasons, but also human sounds such as passing trains and talking walkers. In a quadraphonic setup with four speakers, these layers are combined with Roxane's live violin playing and Katya Shirshkovas voice, making nature and music merge.
