Discover a unique Lommel tradition during the sand-strewing workshop! Sand-strewing is deeply rooted in Lommel. With its recent recognition as intangible cultural heritage, we want to not only cherish this special tradition but also pass it on to new generations. Are you hesitant to participate in the sand carpet exhibition because you don't really know how to start? Or are you just curious about this unique art form? Then this workshop is the ideal first step. During an interactive session of an hour and a half, experienced sand-strewers Theo Grobben and Marc Beliën will take you into the world of sand-strewing. You will learn the basic techniques, get practical tips & tricks, and get to work with sand yourself. Whether you are young or have some experience: everyone is welcome!
