Maxim Storms and Lobke Leirens draw their inspiration from old horror movies. The two artists offer an offbeat reinterpretation, celebrating assumed kitsch and grotesque humor. They subvert the genres codes to weave a universe where comedy flirts with the obscure. Through this staging, we are invited to question ourselves: what makes danger attractive? Who or what are our monsters? And can we feel sympathy for them? It is not yet known who will win between laughter and fear.
