De Zenne and the canal in Brussels – with Coördinatie Zenne
zo 21 jun 2026 · 14:30
Sewer Museum, Brussels
Brussels originated on the banks of the Zenne. Once, the river was attractive and rich in fish, with an abundance of yellow irises on its banks. Based on the street names, buildings, monuments, and other relics, this walk with Coördinatie Zenne invites you not only to follow the traces of the river but also to discover the story of the canal and the old and new harbor of the city. The walk ends in Maximiliaanpark, where the Senne, which now flows underground, will soon come above ground again.
