Flanders Celebrates!

De Koninklijke Fanfare Sint-Cecilia kicks off the festivities and accompanies both Celien Hermans and Hugo Sigal. Celien is emerging as a talented songwriter but above all as a young lady with a unique voice. Her participation in 2013 in “De Beste Singer-Songwriter Van Vlaanderen” did not go unnoticed. Hoewel Vlaanderen gradually learns her own repertoire, she also brings a range of well-known, sing-along covers. She takes young and old on a musical journey through the greatest hits. Hugo Sigal is a living legend within the Flemish music world and has been a fixture on stages at home and abroad for decades. The great success of Hugo Sigal began together with Nicole Josy in the iconic duo Nicole & Hugo. With timeless hits such as “Goeiemorgen Morgen”, they grew into one of the most beloved duos in Flanders. Today, Hugo Sigal continues that musical passion as a solo artist. With his characteristic charm and enthusiasm, he brings a performance full of recognition, nostalgia, and warmth. That together with the musicians of the brass band? That is enjoyment! The party evening is continued by De Jimmy's. Especially for 'Vlaanderen Feest'!, multi-instrumentalist Mathijs Dhoey (Madho Creative Studio) bundled six top musicians, including Jimmy Colman (The Voice), Yannick De Clerck (Yevgueni), Lukas Sabbe (Aaron Blommaert), Ymke Verschueren (Various), and Tom Willems (e.g., K’s Choice, Barbara Dex, ..), into a smashing Dutch-language cover band: De Jimmy’s. With infectious energy and a repertoire full of uptempo sing-alongs, they set every dance floor on fire. So expect a party evening full of ambiance, recognizable hits, and musical class.
