The origins of the Ducasse

On Friday, August 14, 2026 at 8:00 PM at the Palace, the NPO Rénovation du Cortège is organizing a dynamic, fun, and humorous conference, hosted by Christian Cannuyer and Laurent Dubuisson. Have Monsieur and Madame Goliath, as well as the shepherd David, ever been dressed in blue? Who was the first Giant to march in the procession of the Ducasse of Ath? What do the Doudou and the Ducasse of Ath have in common? All these questions will soon hold no secrets for you. At the end of the conference, you can extend the evening at an after-party in the Palace bar, in the company of musicians from the procession. The date is set and the atmosphere will be there.
