Alluvions

Alluvium is not the catastrophe itself (the flood, the high water) but what remains, what is deposited, sometimes fertile, sometimes heavy. This can represent the remnants of a life after bereavement, what remains and reorganizes itself. The artists gathered in this exhibition offer different interpretations of bereavement, cycles, and metamorphosis, inviting visitors to reflect on the transformative nature of endings and beginnings. Activities as part of the exhibition: Les Soupirantes — Concert Thursday, October 15, 2026, starting at 7 PM. An adjustable vocal ensemble inspired by the professional mourners of the past, Les Soupirantes will accompany the vernissage around the question of bereavement. Inhabiting the Vestiges — Storytelling walk by Léa Brami Samedi October 24 and Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. Storytelling visit of the installation "Habiter les vestiges" (Inhabiting the Vestiges). Come and discover the stories behind the artifacts of struggle dating from the late 19th to the late 20th century, presented by the artist Léa Brami on the occasion of the exhibition "Alluvions". They can be activated, worn, tasted, listened to, touched, and smelled. We Will Return: A preparation for the hauntology of places — Atelier de Jeanne Pruvot Simonneaux and Anna Czapski Dimanche November 1, 2026, from 3 PM to 5 PM. A sensory and narrative experience through the works and spaces of the exhibition, inviting participants to imagine the ghosts they could become and the places they would wish to haunt.
