Ducasse of Arbre Sain-Pierre and Grand Monchaut

Behind every festivity lies a story. That of the Arbre Saint-Pierre Ducasse is rich with over 45 years of anecdotes and exceptional memories. Behind every festivity, there are also citizens who share the same desire to come together, for a day, a weekend (and more if the mood strikes), for the pleasure of living together. In Ellezelles, the residents of Hameaux St Pîr and Grand Monchaut chose the day of Saint-Antoine de Padoue (the parish's Saint Patron) to organize a neighborhood party, which very quickly became an unmissable event on the Ellezelles festive calendar. Behind every festivity, there is above all an identity. And that of the Ducasse St-Pîr blends fun and entertainment, while preserving its DNA steeped in tradition. This is evidenced by the giants "El Baron Jean and Dame Renelde," created in honor of Jean and Renelde, two iconic figures of the hamlet who worked for many years in the bistro near the church. A few years ago, these characters were joined by the mini giants "King of the St Pîr brotherhood" and his "Baudet Mimil," imagined and created by the young members of the committee. Because behind every festivity, there is a crowd of volunteers. Et la Ducasse of Arbre Saint-Pierre and Grand Monchaut can always count on its four generations of motivated and inspiring members to perpetuate and evolve this beautiful organization. On June 19, 20, and 21, come and (re)discover these popular and convivial moments of festivity during a new edition of the Ducasse. On the program: Friday: the traditional cheese dinner followed by the evening party; Saturday: darts tournament, moped ride, off-road course, mountain bike hike, hot air balloon launch, night hike, and dance party; and Sunday: mountain bike, hiking, and carriage and equestrian ride, vintage agricultural tractor exhibition, Saint-Pîr meal, horse-drawn traction, skill competition for vintage tractors, tug-of-war, and keg tossing.
