A meeting of two powerful voices from the South in this double concert: Lia Sampai, singer, actress, and activist from Catalonia, sings her heritage with heart and soul. Helena Casella is a Belgian-Brazilian songwriter who studies jazz music at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Lia Sampai lets Catalan folk, jazz, and world music flow seamlessly into pure poetry. Her warm, expressive voice tells stories from the Terres de l’Ebre and knows how to turn silence and emotion into music that touches deeply with subtle guitar accompaniment. Since her debut, Sampai has been conquering hearts with songs about identity, love, struggle, and memory, and she is known for her integrity on stage and Mediterranean soul. Since her first album, she has consistently been accompanied by guitarist and composer Adrià Pagès.
