PRAGANA & The Super Ginga was founded by the Rio-born composer and performer Marcel Pragana and brings together musicians from different regions of Brazil, each with their own rhythmic background, from samba and MPB to forró, ijexá, and other Afro-Brazilian traditions. Together they create a rich, contemporary sound that is rooted in tradition and shaped by modern influences. Since the project's inception in Europe, the band has played in Belgium, Germany, France, and the Netherlands, where they built an increasingly larger presence within festivals, clubs, and cultural stages. With a repertoire that combines original compositions with reworked classics by artists such as Jorge Ben Jor, Djavan, João Bosco, and Tom Jobim, the group grew into a dynamic force within the Europese Braziliaanse music scene. On festival stages and in intimate halls, PRAGANA brings a show full of rhythm, charisma, and human connection, a musical journey through the diversity and soul of Brazil.
