Day trip to "Klein Brabant"

Guided visit to the beautiful furnished castle of Marnix de Sint Aldegonde in Bornem. At the end of the 19th century, the fortified Renaissance castle underwent a thorough renovation commissioned by Graaf Ferdinand Jozef, and architect Hendrik Beyaert transformed it into a large water castle, equivalent to the castles of the Loire in France. After lunch, in “De Notelaer” in Bornem, visit to an asparagus farm in Malderen-Londerzeel, in "Klein-Brabant," which is traditionally considered the cradle of asparagus cultivation.
