Descendre Danse + 15 years Anton Lachky & Eleonore Valère Company Éléonore Valère-Lachky signs a danced tragi-comedy that gives voice and flesh to a strong, free woman, determined to take her place in the world until the vertigo of a love that threatens to make her disappear within herself. Presenting this show on March 8, International Women's Rights Day, then takes on its full meaning: it is not just about celebrating a standing female figure, but about listening to what passes through her, her desires, her flaws, her power, her contradictions. Descendre reverses the myth of Ulysses and the sirens: here, Ulysses is a woman, and the man becomes the siren. Strong, free, born on the wrong side but determined to take her place in the world, she moves forward with confidence, makes her life a playground, and fully assumes her desire. Until the day she too hears a more dangerous song: that of an intense, perhaps toxic love, in which she risks losing herself. On stage, the text by Éléonore Valère-Lachky, the inhabited dance of Violette Wanty, and the haunting voice-over of Héloïse Jadoul weave together the portrait of a woman on the verge of tipping over. The body does not simply tell the story: it crosses it, contradicts it, amplifies it, in a score where impulses, falls, resistances, and silences become as eloquent as words. Descendre talks about the vertigo of love, the temptation to surrender to something greater than oneself, but also about the strength it takes not to disappear into the other. An intense, carnal, and deeply moving piece, where a woman descends as close as possible to what troubles her and chooses, finally, not to jump.
