Persona

An abstract drama revolving around two characters: the famous actress Elisabeth Vogler suffers a mental breakdown and is entrusted to the care of nurse Alma, who takes her to a quiet and secluded cottage by the sea. There, a confrontation unfolds in which the characters reveal their most intimate secrets to each other, only to then 'merge' into a kind of split personality. Some critics who, after years of regurgitating simple Hollywood fare, apparently struggle with films that require some thought, like to disparage this film, but they forget that it is very typical of the existentialism of the sixties.
