Cuba, an African odyssey (ATTAC)

This film, released in 2007, takes us back to the time of the Cold War. At that time, peoples who were then called the Tiers Monde rose up against colonialism and imperialism. Cuba, which had just led a victorious revolution, came to help African revolutionaries, Patrice Lumumba in the Congo, Cuito Cuanavale in Angola, the fight for the fall of apartheid in Afrique du Sud, etc. It was necessary to resist the attacks of the United States, attracted by the natural resources of these countries, and those of the former colonizing nations, which could not resign themselves to the loss of their power and sought to undermine the independence acquired through struggle.
