De Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd for cello is in its third edition. Hayoung Choi, the winner of the previous edition, has grown into a real star and is a welcome guest at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Now three new laureates are waving goodbye to the Belgian public during a victory lap through the grand concert halls of the country. After their passage in the competition and in the Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth, a concert in the Koningin Elisabethzaal is of course indispensable. The renowned competition is a springboard for young talent: this is your chance to get to know the top cellists of tomorrow.
