Lo-Fi Folk straight from a garage box in Moscou Sghetti Legs is the solo project of Siemon Theys , who, after years behind the drums for bands including The Guru Guru, Soapstarter, and Ricky Bekstok, is stepping forward as a songwriter and frontman. From a self-built home studio in a garage box in the Ghent neighborhood of Moscou, he creates a quirky mix of lo-fi folk, indie pop, and DIY charm. With a sharp sense of melody, catchy hooks, and unpolished honesty, Sghetti Legs writes songs that are simultaneously fragile, lighthearted, and emotionally poignant. Influences from alternative rock, indie, and classic pop flow together into simple but effective songs that hit home immediately. The single Precious Moments is a striking example of this. Live, Siemon takes on the role of both drummer and frontman, surrounded by a strong band with Owen Perry Weston (Coely, Paard, Ricky Bekstok) on bass, Hanne Van De Kerkhove (Silvy Kreusch, Iskander Moon) on guitar, and Bart Baele (Speedozer, Tubelight) on electric banjo.
