Free garden concert • Dirk Wachtelaer & Jef Mertens + Vrije Radio Ottessa (live)

Free concert in the beautiful garden of JH Tijl. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗲𝗿 & 𝗝𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀 have both been active in the experimental music scene since the 90s. Dirk as a drummer/percussionist and Jef as a documentary filmmaker. Both met a few years after Jef, forced by COVID, picked up the guitar and started improvising himself. This jam session resulted in their first tape release A Void Dance. A year later they went into the studio, Jef traded his guitar for the taishogoto, and they recorded their debut LP Wonderful Brutalism. Recently a live CD was released which forms the basis for their current set with drums and taishogoto. 𝗩𝗿𝗶𝗷𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗢𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 is a radio program on Radio Scorpio with an obsession for forgotten vinyl and obscure internet sound. Bezieler Ronny Rens brings a vinyl-only set with pearls from his personal collection.
