We are on the threshold of a new era. Not a nice place. The old is being demolished and no one knows what will take its place. Democratic rules bring autocrats to power, demonstrations have no effect. Meanwhile, we feel the consequences and we see the images. A paralyzing feeling of powerlessness makes our courage sink into our shoes. We learn to look away. But our lives go on. We build careers. Children are born. They have to go to school. They cannot keep up. ADHD, autism, giftedness, or… whatever. They are just strange children these days. And then there is love. Infidelity. We try an open relationship, but it doesn't really work. Here too, we feel the unease of the threshold. One wants to move forward, the other back to a good old time. And history? It rushes on. In Moeder Theresa was furious! four individuals stand on the threshold. And that is terribly annoying, hilarious, and moving, as human life has essentially always been.
