Ava Carrère & the Dys/Dys

Ava Carrère will sing songs that matter, useful songs, serious ones, mixed with wacky nursery rhymes because isolating pain from laughter is a bad idea. Covers and compositions, all linked to struggles, to transmission, to messages that endure from generation to generation through protest songs, soundtracks of our uprisings past or to come. In English, French, perhaps in Greek, in Reunionese Creole, in Arabic, the languages will mingle without getting confused because the songs will be placed in contexts. Ava is talkative so it is possible that the concert contains traces of stand-up or musicological lecture. Eric Bribosia and Guillemette Gatineau will accompany her with the fantasy and complicity that make these three lunatics an improbable trio. A bit punk, childish, full of healthy anger and revolutionary love.
