At the initiative of Maison Culturelle, Musée du Capitalisme is coming to Ath to offer an original space for learning about our society. Far from theoretical textbooks, this traveling and civic exhibition uses various media – videos, role-playing, testimonials, and animations – to make economic news accessible to everyone. The journey unfolds through four thematic rooms: the origins of capitalism, the hopes it has raised, its limits, and, finally, possible alternatives. The exhibition explores this complex system via concrete themes of our daily lives such as food, health, culture, consumption, and even finance. The project aims to be engaged, but not partisan: it is not about dictating a way of thinking, but about providing keys to understanding to encourage active citizenship. La Maison Culturelle is also committed to anchoring the event in its territory by highlighting local initiatives and alternatives. Whether in a free visit or during guided tours – particularly focused on exchange and debate – each visit to the museum is an invitation to collective reflection.
