Mahnaz, a 40-year-old widow who works as a nurse, struggles with her rebellious son Aliyar, who has been suspended from school. Tensions within the family run high during the engagement ceremony with her new boyfriend Hamid, after which a tragic accident occurs. In the aftermath, Mahnaz is forced to face betrayal and loss and to seek justice.
