In 2011, during earthworks in the oldest part of the Molenbeek cemetery, a fragment of a funerary stele was discovered. A bas-relief representing a boat can be distinguished. Was it the tomb of a boatman or the symbol evoking the crossing that is life? No one will ever know... Unless our storytellers have their own idea on the question?
