Festival of the Book: Gilbert Nyatanyi signs his book 'Het jongetje dat bijen at'

Gilbert Nyatanyi is signing his moving autobiographical debut novel 'The Boy Who Ate Bees'. Born in Rwanda but raised in down-to-earth West Flanders, he tells of his youth full of honey, warmth, and color, which takes on a different sheen when he loses his father and is sent to Belgium as a child. He weaves the story of his family and a torn country together with that of a boy who learns what resilience sounds like – sometimes like a buzz. Everyone welcome!
