Héloïse Meire / Cie What’s Up
Théâtre | Création
Dans the intimacy of intertwined destinies.
It is night. A building. Three windows remain lit. Behind these windows, one can see a teenager preparing food for her mother, a man caring for his partner, a woman looking for her father lost in the hallway. Three singular stories: those of caregivers and those being cared for. Little by little, over the seasons, we discover the daily lives of these neighbors, in a choral narrative that does without words.
On stage, five masked actors bring these intertwined stories to life. They deploy a powerful and poetic visual universe to highlight the gestures of care and the emotional rollercoasters linked to them.
For this new creation, director Héloïse Meire draws on workshops she led for several years with family caregivers. She creates a modern tale, a sensitive and dreamlike fiction, imprinted with the stories of those she met.
