Music bath: Jon Swayne Tribute Band

Immerse yourself in a music bath with the Jon Swayne Tribute Band, with Pieterjan Van Kerckhoven, Stefan Timmermans and Kim Delcour. Together good for more than 100 years of bagpipe experience and craftsmanship on stage. All three musicians have been playing the bagpipes since they were young, are seasoned in the folk circuit, and already have a whole career behind them. Their instruments brought them to stages all over Europe and the US in recent decades, with groups such as Wör, Fluxus, (BUB), Embrun and Razen. Pieterjan is currently a bagpipe teacher at the LUCA school of arts in Leuven. Kim Delcour is a bagpipe and recorder teacher in the Academie van Sint-Agatha-Berchem. Together they play three-part bagpipe music, mainly composed by Jon Swayne, the 80-year-old bagpipe player, builder and legend from England, supplemented with their own work and traditionals. Opening act: Flute ensemble with students from the French-speaking and Nederlandstalige Academie (with Nathalie Bosch).
