Film: The Angels Share

Come to the film afternoon for the over-55s: this time ‘The Angels Share’ is on the programme. This is a 2012 Scottish drama film directed by Ken Loach. The story takes place in Glasgow. Robbie is a violent young criminal who, after becoming a father, decides to put his life on the straight and narrow. Fortunately, he avoids a prison sentence. Together with several other young people, he is sentenced to a number of hours of community service. They are lucky with their understanding supervisor. One day, he takes them for a visit to a whisky tasting. There Robbie discovers that he has a refined nose for tasting whisky. He feels that his life is going to change.
