Orchard Sessions: Few Bits (solo) Karolien Van Ransbeeck brings her unique, dreamy indie pop to the IJzerboomgaard. The story of Few Bits began in 2013 with an impressive debut (and self-titled) record. ‘Shell’ immediately found its way to the airwaves, and the record was warmly received by critics and fellow artists. Ook de Amerikanen from The War On Drugs were impressed, and they invited Van Ransbeeck in 2014 as support for the Lost In The Dream tour and again in 2017 with A Deeper Understanding . In 2019, Van Ransbeeck decided to take a musical break after the birth of her daughter. Since last year, she is fully back with the fresh new record ‘Brick Houses’ . A colorful album full of reflections on the past and present, where imagination and desire intersect. The lyrics often balance between fantasy and reality: cryptic to some, crystal clear to Karolien herself. The record received a full 4 stars from Dansende Beren : "A strong, varied, and contemporary record." The warm and mysterious voice of Van Ransbeeck, the sound of the wind, and the dreamy and varied songs of the new record. We don't think a better start to our sessions is possible. Every Thursday in June, you can enjoy a free concert in the Provinciaal Domein De IJzerboomgaard in Diksmuide. The concerts always start at 8:00 PM. Bring your own chair or picnic blanket.
