Exhibition - Rage against ageism

▶︎ Friday 02/10 (6 PM-8 PM): Opening (+ concert by Eve Libertine and James De Backer + Miriam) ···> Opening of the exhibition (until 11/10): ▶︎ Wednesdays (2 PM-6 PM) ▶︎ Saturdays and Sundays (10 AM-6 PM) ▶︎ Exceptional opening until 10 PM: Saturday 3/10 (for the intergenerational ball) and Sunday 4/10 (for the conference "The figure of the old person in the media" by Yves Collard) _________________ With works by: ▶︎ Françoiz Breut, works mainly with collage and acrylic painting through very varied projects: record sleeves, record-books, editions, often linked closely or remotely to music. ▶︎ Carla Maria Brugman, painter, translator, and language teacher, was born in 1943 in Zeist in the Netherlands and died in 2025 in Brussels. She uses acrylics essentially. All supports will be used, from canvas to paper, passing through wood and cardboard. ▶︎ Gilbert Cnops has never ceased to explore and work with watercolor as a self-taught artist. These few recent works are the result. ▶︎ Dominique Deconinck alias Dom, multitasking graphic designer, draws for Old-Up – the newspaper of the Gang des Vieux en Colère – he practices a very sharp art of metaphor. ▶︎ Claire Dupuis tried her hand at painting, for a reason: the forced stop of her professional activities. She shares her works by having them printed on everyday objects. ▶︎ Martin Dupuis, psychologist and gardener, it was when he turned 30 that he suffered a stroke followed by three others. Martin is constantly in search of balance and discovery. Writing, connection, and joy are the buoys of his resilience. ▶︎ Jacques Flamme known as Flam is one of the official illustrators of the Gang des Vieux en Colère. His drawings, with a lively and engaged style, perfectly reflect the spirit of the Gang: treating very serious issues such as purchasing power, dignified pensions, mistreatment in nursing homes, the cost of living, the digital divide, and the rise of the far-right with a lot of humor and self-deprecation. ▶︎ Martine Henet, is a psychomotor therapist within the mental health service of the city of Brussels. Following a few linocut workshops, she developed a real passion for this technique. ▶︎ Anne Hoogstoel has always drawn. In 2018, she met the Gang des Vieux en Colère to which she brings her graphic experience (posters and Old-Up newspaper) and her militant good humor. ▶︎ Catherine Le Goff, sliding gently towards old age, indulges in engraving with passion. She wrote and illustrated (with aquatints) a book about her memories at her grandmother's, titled "Chez Mémé".
