Double Combo Cabaret 6# Ariadna Gironès Mata + Saori Miyazawa

SO?!WHAT is a solo performance that combines choreographic, visual, and plastic arts. Ariadna Gironès dances through different physicalities while folding, distorting, and transforming their body with various layers that cover it in different ways. These layers are visible to the public, but represent what the character wants to hide, rejecting any notion of self-acceptance. The piece poses a crucial question: are we the ones who do not accept ourselves as we are, or is it society that does not accept us? — For HARUMI — A small myth HARUMI is a common female first name in Japan. HARUMI is a hybrid being, half-human, half-doll: a presence without a fixed identity, in the making. Created for this choreographic work, HARUMI evolves in a universe where modernity and tradition mingle. On the border between living and inert matter, HARUMI wears a papier-mâché mask, shaped according to the Japanese technique of Hariko. Like an avatar in search of meaning, HARUMI transforms through their interactions with the outside world. Their existence is nourished by the "inner child" that we have forgotten while growing up: this part of ourselves, pure and creative, that time has set aside. Through a mesmerizing dance, Saori Miyazawa explores identity and bodily memory, carried by the rhythms of wadaiko and songs inspired by Nô theater.
